“Registration of the auction participants will take place from 3 March 2025 (08.00 a.m.) to 13 June, 2025 (16.30 p.m.). The participants of the auction are required to submit their offers in person or by an authorized person to the Liepaja SEZ Authority at 4 Feniksa Street, Liepaja by the deadline for application as specified in the notice of the auction (during the Authority’s office hours from 8.00 to 12.00 and from 12.30 to 16.30) by 13 June 2025. The offers will be opened on 16 June 2025 at 13.00.”

At the working meeting, the Head of “CIS Liepaja” Tor Arne Pedersen announced that, by agreement with the Liepaja City Council and the Liepaja SEZ Authority, the possible location of the planned hydrogen production plant has been changed – further north in the port water area, and that, due to changes in the market and the demand, “CIS Liepaja” has abandoned the development of the green ammonia production project.

April 24 was a busy workday at ATTA Centre, Riga, for the wind energy professionals at the Wind Works’ 2025 - the main platform for experts, policymakers, investors, and other stakeholders to network and discuss opportunities, challenges, and best practices in the wind energy sector across the Baltic States.

On April 10, the Latvian harbor masters and the key employees of the Maritime Administration gathered for a work meeting in Liepaja.

Together with the Latvian Minister for Climate and Energy Kaspars Melnis and the management of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA), the Liepaja SEZ CEO Uldis Hmieļevskis and his Advisor on Renewable Energy Projects Jānis Lapiņš attended a three-day conference and exhibition "WindEurope Annual event 2025", in Copenhagen, Denmark at the Bella Center to meet with investors, the wind energy project developers, manufacturers and also the current Liepaja SEZ project partners VanOord and Euroports with whom the Liepaja SEZ Authority continues to develop the project, which was initiated three years ago, i.e. building an offshore wind farm support base and a heavy-lift cargo terminal in the Port of Liepaja.
